BDE Add-Ons & Savings

Optional extras for any BDE course. Pick what helps, skip what doesn’t, and save when you sign up with a friend.

BDE Expressway — $150 Extra

Short on time? Most students spread their 10 in-car hours over two to four months. Expressway guarantees all 10 hours are done within six weeks of your agreed start date. Add it when you buy your BDE course.

BDE Rural Pickup & Drop-Off — $150 Extra

Live out past the suburbs? We’ll pick you up and drop you off at your agreed location for every BDE in-car lesson. Email us first to confirm your address is inside our rural service area.

BDE Road-Test Car Use — Ottawa Centres Only — $150 Extra

Take your road test in the school car at an Ottawa DriveTest centre, with a one-hour warm-up lesson right before. Give us at least 2–3 weeks’ notice and send your appointment confirmation. You’ll meet your instructor at the DriveTest centre, since transportation isn’t included unless you arrange it with us for an extra fee.

Bring a Friend — Save $20 Each

Sign up for BDE together and you each get $20 off your course fee.

Just tell us you’re registering together and we’ll apply the discount.

Online BDE in Your Language

What every BDE course includes

  • 20 hours of theory
  • 10 hours of flexible home-study (HomeLink)
  • 10 private hours in the car
  • Pick-up and drop-off for scheduled BDE in-car lessons
  • One year to finish everything

Pick-up and drop-off: Included within our service area, based on instructor availability. Further out? We’ll pick a meeting point nearby together.

How the timeline works: You can start the theory before you have your G1, but you’ll need it before your first in-car lesson. Once your theory is done, send your in-car request and documents; lessons usually begin 2–3 weeks later. Most students finish their 10 in-car hours over 2–4 months. With the Expressway add-on, they’re done within six weeks of your agreed start date.

When you graduate, you can order a Driver’s Licence History from ServiceOntario, and your insurer may offer a discount.

Pick 1, 5 or 10 hours to build skills, shake off nerves or brush up after a break.
